Your Privacy is Important to Us

Attorneys who provide legal services involving the financial matters of clients are now required by federal law to inform clients of their policies regarding the privacy of client information. The purpose of this notice is to explain what we will be doing with the financial information that you provide to us, and the ways we will guard your privacy.

Oregon attorneys are bound by a Code of Professional Responsibility. This code governs our conduct and requires us to protect your confidentiality. These standards are even more stringent that those required by federal law. We have always protected your right to privacy and will continue to do so.

We collect non-public personal information about your finances and property that you provide to us or is obtained by us in the course of providing you with legal services. We disclose non-public information about you only to individuals or entities necessary in order to provide you with the services that you have requested. If for any reason you do not want us to provide nonpublic personal information about you to other parties, you may direct us not to make those disclosures. We retain no original documents. We keep only records and files relating to the professional services you have asked us to provide.

In order to guard your information, we maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with the Code of Professional Responsibility that govern our profession. Please call us with any questions that you have about protecting your privacy.
